Hi, Mihai here! For all the Elder Scrolls: Skyrim fans out there, this is my Top Ten Best Skyrim Quests. Now, I’m not saying that there aren’t any other brilliant missions and adventures to take part in but, for me, these are the ones that stood out the most.
So, jump right in and FUS RO DAH!
This is a relatively short quest but nice and really makes you think about the real value you can place in another person. Also, the fact that in this particular part of the quest the main lovers are dead makes their commitment for one another more honorable.
If you can see yourself as a man whose love can last even through death, I salute you.
Two words: Skeleton. Horse! It’s simple to get and Epic to have! Summon Arvak, the loyal horse from the realm of trapped souls, and ride him across Skyrim!
The only downside is the amount of time he has until he disappears. He is a summoned creature after all.
I’m a bit unfair with adding this on the list because I haven’t actually done it yet. You will need to have level 100 at Conjurer. Still, until I get there, here’s the cool part of the quest: You will be able to summon a permanent Dremora from Oblivion.
Additionally, you will get a sigil stone witch, when placed on the Atronach Forge, can get you awesome armor and other cool items.
“I met Septimus Signus, a brilliant but mad scholar living in the northern ice fields.”, to which I replied in real life “Cooool!”.
I like the mad scholar, the Impossible Box, the Dwemer city, the prize you get when you open the box, everything is just so Indiana Jones like. ^^ What really made me love this quest was the city of the Dwemer. At its time it would have been the most fantastic place in all of Skyrim.
P.S. If someone makes a mod and gives you the possibility of rebuilding the city, it would be the most Brilliant mod ever! Let me know if such a mod exists yet.
The most crazy, bonkers and fun quest I ever found in the game.
I mean, come on. You are inside the mind of a dead, homicidal, insane monarch! Also, the daedric artifact you get at the end is brilliant.
This quest is all worth it just because you can talk with the king, your target. He is so likable, not even resisting or begging for his life. The most noble, fair and remarkably at-peace-with-himself character I met in all my endeavors.
What I still don’t get is why is he the only one who seems genuinely tired of fighting.
It is a quest regarding the Dwemer. I get to see why and how they disappeared all those centuries ago.
This is definitely one of the more scientific quests you can find. You get a cool knife (can’t recharge its effect) and a cool spell! Yey!
Too bad for Arniel though.
Another quest that had to do with the Dwemer. You are searching for a secret forge, lost and grand, built deep inside the earth, close to the magma. All this in the name of archaeology.
At the forge you can craft one of the 3 special items. I chose a staff that could summon a robot to fight for me for 60 seconds. Totally worth it.
Just.. just Dawnguard! All the story line is fantastic. The characters you meet are three dimensional and you get to see: a vampire castle, The Downguard Fort, the last of the Snow Elves (a race you barely hear of in the main game) and The Soul Cairn (where you find the skeleton horse).
I chose to be against the vampires, a member of the Dawnguard. With my crossbow I made all my enemies tremble and I held the fate of the sun in my hands! This DLC is the best thing ever.
